Most of the films produced at Lollywood are in Urdu language. However, some movies are in other regional languages like Punjabi, Pushto, Sindhi and Balochi also. Cinema produced excellent movies in President Ayyub Khan’s time, and after that period it also started going down.
Lahore being the center of Lollywood, produced lots of good movies in Punjabi language, like one of the most hit movies was Maula Jatt with the most popular actor of that time Sultan Rahi as a main cast.
The industry produced lots of comedy movies like ‘Naukar Wohti Da’, ‘Dubai Chalo’, Athra Puttar and many others mostly casting Munawwar Zareef, Rangeela, Lehri, Nannha and others.
